Simultaneous approximation of new Baskakov operators

Abstract

This paper provides direct results for a new Baskakov operator in simultaneous approximation. Also, we found a recurrence relation to calculate the moments for this operator. We discuss a uniform convergence, an asymptotic formula of the Voronovskaja type, and an error estimate about the modulus of continuity for this operator. Lastly, we provide some graphical examples of the convergence of the derivatives of the new Baskakov operator using the Maple algorithm.
