New results on leap Zagreb indices

Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the chemical importance of the leap Zagreb indices, and it is shown that the third leap Zagreb index is useful in predicting the boiling point of benzenoid hydrocarbons with high accuracy (with the co-efficient of correlation R=0.9788). We express the leap Zagreb indices in terms of first-degree based indices, instead of second-degree. We also obtain explicit formulae for the third leap Zagreb index of some derived graphs.
